The Public Accountant is a strategic finance manager is the custodian of our client's financial integrity and fiscal growth. Your mission is to transform raw financial data into strategic intelligence, ensuring 100% regulatory compliance while optimizing cash flow, project profitability, and capital allocation. You serve as the "Financial Conscience" of our clients, protecting its assets and empowering executives with the transparency needed to scale globally.
Financial Engineering & Analysis
Project Profitability (Unit Economics): Analyze the "Cost-to-Serve" for every consulting engagement, identifying margin leakages and recommending pricing adjustments to the Partners.
Predictive Forecasting: Maintain 12-month rolling cash flow forecasts that account for varying lead cycles and "Success Fee" structures typical in advisory.
Capital Allocation: Advise the CEO on the ROI of operational investments (e.g., new tech stacks, international expansion, or talent acquisitions).
Advanced Compliance & Reporting
Zero-Defect Financials: Lead the month-end/year-end close process with total accuracy, producing GAAP-compliant P&L statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow reports.
Tax Optimization: Coordinate with external tax partners to execute sophisticated tax-planning strategies, ensuring the firm and its principals leverage all available credits and incentives.
Audit Readiness: Maintain a "Perpetual Audit" state, ensuring all digital records, expenses, and payroll data are instantly retrievable and compliant.
AI-Driven Finance Operations
Automated Accounts Receivable (AR): Oversee AI-integrated invoicing systems (e.g., Bill.com or HighRadius) to ensure "Day-Zero" invoicing and reduce DSO (Days Sales Outstanding).
Expense Orchestration: Implement AI-driven expense management (e.g., Ramp or Brex) to automate classification and flag anomalies in real-time.
Treasury & Risk Management
Internal Controls: Design and enforce rigorous "Anti-Fraud" protocols and multi-factor authorization for all firm capital movements.
Vendor & Payroll Management: Direct the firm's payroll cycles and manage vendor relationships to maximize payment terms and early-settlement discounts.
Analytical Rigor: The ability to find the "story" behind the numbers and communicate it to non-financial stakeholders.
Fiduciary Integrity: Uncompromising ethics and the courage to provide "Radical Candor" to the CEO regarding the firm's financial health.
Technological Fluency: Mastery of cloud-based accounting ecosystems (QuickBooks Online, Xero) and AI-augmented financial modeling tools.
Consulting Industry Literacy: Deep understanding of professional services billing (Hourly vs. Retainer vs. Value-Based) and WIP (Work in Progress) accounting.
Margin Optimization: Identify and implement cost-saving or revenue-capture initiatives that increase Net Profit Margin by $\ge 5\%$ annually.
DSO (Days Sales Outstanding): Maintain a weighted average collection period of $< 30$ days.
Reporting Velocity: Deliver the "Monthly Financial Intelligence Packet" by the 5th business day of the following month.
Forecast Accuracy: Maintain a variance of $\pm 3\%$ between projected and actual monthly cash flow.
Experience: 7+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience, with at least 4 years in a Professional Services firm (Consulting, Law, or Architecture).
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA designation is mandatory for this level of rigor.
Technical Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VBA/Power Query) and experience implementing AI-driven fintech solutions.
The "Marq Neasman" Standard: A proven track record of moving from "Data Entry" to "Data Interpretation," acting as a true business partner to the CEO.
