The Software Systems Architect is the builder of the firm's competitive digital moat. Your mission is to design, deploy, and maintain a high-availability, AI-integrated software ecosystem built on Google Infrastructure. You will transform the firm’s proprietary advisory frameworks into scalable digital products, ensuring that our data security meets the rigor of global finance while our processing speed leverages the full power of Google’s distributed computing and Vertex AI.
Google Cloud Ecosystem Orchestration
Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Architect and manage the firm’s cloud environment using Google Cloud Deployment Manager or Terraform, ensuring a "Zero-Trust" security architecture.
Serverless Execution: Deploy and optimize microservices via Google Cloud Functions and Cloud Run to ensure the firm's digital tools are highly responsive and cost-efficient.
Data Lake Architecture: Design and maintain a centralized "Knowledge Vault" using BigQuery and Cloud Spanner, enabling real-time data synthesis for the Business Advisors.
Agentic AI & Machine Learning Integration
Vertex AI Deployment: Build and fine-tune custom LLMs and generative agents that automate the "Research & Diagnosis" phases of the advisory lifecycle.
API Strategy: Develop and manage secure APIs that allow our internal tools to communicate seamlessly with client ERPs and CRMs.
Search & Discovery: Implement Google Discovery Engine to allow consultants to perform semantic searches across decades of firm IP instantly.
Performance Engineering & Security
Site Reliability (SRE): Apply Google’s SRE principles to ensure 99.99% uptime for client-facing portals and internal advisory dashboards.
Security & Compliance: Implement Identity-Aware Proxy (IAP) and VPC Service Controls to protect sensitive client data against evolving cyber threats.
OEE (Overall Engineering Effectiveness): Optimize the "Compute-to-Value" ratio, ensuring our cloud spend is directly correlated to firm revenue growth.
Technical Leadership
Productization of IP: Work with Business Advisors to turn manual "Excel-based" frameworks into proprietary, subscription-ready software assets.
Documentation Rigor: Maintain a "Zero-Obscurity" codebase with rigorous documentation, ensuring the system can be scaled by future engineering hires.
GCP Mastery: Expert knowledge of the Google Cloud hierarchy (Compute Engine, GKE, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, and IAM).
Polyglot Programming: Proficiency in Python (for AI/ML), Go (for high-performance backends), and JavaScript/TypeScript (for modern frontends).
Distributed Systems Thinking: Understanding how to build resilient systems that leverage Google’s global fiber network.
Security-First Mindset: A deep understanding of encryption at rest and in transit, and the nuances of SOC2 or GDPR compliance.
Collaborative Translation: The ability to explain complex technical debt or architectural trade-offs to the CEO and non-technical Partners.
System Latency: Maintain a sub-200ms response time for all internal "Knowledge Retrieval" queries.
Deployment Velocity: Maintain a CI/CD pipeline that allows for "Zero-Downtime" updates to firm tools.
Security Integrity: Zero unauthorized access incidents or data leakages per annum.
Compute Efficiency: Reduce GCP operational overhead by 15% through proactive resource rightsizing and serverless optimization.
Experience: 8+ years in Software Engineering, with at least 4 years focused exclusively on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Certifications: Google Professional Cloud Architect or Professional Data Engineer is mandatory.
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
